Several of the photographers featured in this month’s issue of Bokeh are self-taught. Dan Jahn is one example.While his background is certainly interesting and unique, what I admire even more is his perseverance. Dan spends a lot of time studying his art and pushing his talents. It keeps his work fresh, and you can totally see it in his photographs.
If you want to know a little something about being patient read Mario Nixon’s interview. He’s a photographer in the Bahamas who specializes in weddings. Mario worked in the industry for many years before venturing out on his own. During this time he’s seen plenty of challenges, but has overcome them with patience and persistence.
