This month we’re fortunate to have Tricia Hayden Burns of Hayden Burns Photography be our featured photographer. She takes great high school senior portraits and works with an awesome goal in mind, and that’s “Empowering young girls to see the beauty within themselves.”

It’s easy to try and do everything when you have your own photography business. From shooting different genres to managing every aspect of the business, such things can stretch you thin. Annie Marie has learned from her many years of experience what works for her: staying true to her style and shooting from the heart.

Ashley Clouser’s passion for photography has allowed her to persevere through difficult times and flourish as a professional photographer. We should all follow her lead in embracing opportunities, whether they be for learning more about the art or for making yourself more marketable.

Photography is very much a personal art. Read how Jackie Beachy has evolved as a family and newborn photographer and be inspired by her words on professional growth and on life relationships.

Retouching an image can be a time-consuming task. If you haven’t already, consider finding a professional retoucher to help you free up your time. As Sian Robertson shares, be sure to find a retoucher that’s able to produce work that falls in line with your style of photography.

Photography can be a creative process that involves a team of creatives. Such projects can provide valuable insights on people and on whether or not they will work well with you. Chris Winton-Stahle talks about several key people traits to look for in a prospective colleague that you might want to work with.
